CLIENT: VIRGIN MOBILE
LOCATION: MÉXICO, D.F.
PRIMARY BUSINESS: TELECOMMUNICATIONS
The opening of the company’s Help Desk and Telecommunications Center would necessitate a reliable, secure power supply in order to prevent failures in the services provided to subscribers. The solution would also need to be of appropriate dimensions in order to be installed in the rack room.
There were 30 help stations. The load was originally 7 kVA, which was why a 10 kVA redundant system adapted to the requested dimensions was proposed, including a battery bank providing 30 minutes of backup power at full load.
The client can now provide secure, reliable, uninterrupted service to its subscribers by avoiding outages, damage and failures in its Telecommunications Centers and Help Desk, which could result in costs on the order of a million dollars.
TOTAL KVA INSTALLED
Two 10 kVA UPS units, parallel cabinet and battery bank with 30 minutes of backup time.
