The Technological Research and Innovation Park (PIIT) is a fourth-generation technological and scientific park based on a triple-helix model, a partnership between government, universities and private initiative in a quest for economic growth through innovation. The PIIT is one of the main strategies of the Nuevo León Economy and Knowledge Society Project, whose long-term vision is to increase the state’s per-capita GDP through knowledge industries and activities and to promote a culture of innovation throughout the state.
