Ternium, a company that produces steel sheets and rods, is part of the Argentine group Techint, which includes the steel mills Hylsa and Imsa in Mexico, as well as Siderar in Argentina. TERNIUM was experiencing a problem with its power regulation equipment, which was failing to eliminate the voltage spikes that were damaging the company’s production equipment.
A combination of UPS units and power conditioners was proposed for the three production plants in Nuevo León.
Various Industronic brand equipment was installed, including AMCR 5138, 5130 and 5146 units, as well as 3 and 6 kVA UPS units, for a total of more than 1200 kVA.
