Safran has operated in Mexico for more than 20 years in the aerospace and security markets. Its local presence is aimed at fulfilling two essential objectives: providing local support to clients throughout Latin America and increasing market share in this rapidly growing area. Today, Safran has 5,000 employees in 10 facilities in Mexico and is the number one aerospace employer in the country.
PRIMARY BUSINESS: TRANSPORTATION
This is the fifth largest plant in the state devoted to the maintenance and repair of jet turbines and is located in the Querétaro Aerospace Park (PAQ), which is the top industrial park in Mexico for the aeronautical industry. The new SAMES building has a total area of 163,353 square feet with cutting-edge operations in its field and highly specialized infrastructure that must be protected with an adequate power supply.
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems were installed as an operational part of the equipment in order to maintain the power quality and supply in the event of a Federal Electricity Commission power failure.
